Sari Wulandari, Guntur, Martinus Dwi Marianto

Doctoral candidate at Indonesia Institute of the Arts Surakarta

Sari was born in 1970. She is a part time graphic designer and a lecturer in Bina Nusantara University in Jakarta, Indonesia. After obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from Trisakti University, Jakarta in 1994, majoring in Fine Arts and Design, she worked at Fortune Group design firm. Five years later, in 1999, Sari started C Plus, her own design firm, which focused on branding. She worked full time in the design business for 12 years, before she decided to become a lecturer in the University. In 2011 she continued his postgraduate education and earned a master's degree in arts from Indonesia Institute of the Arts Yogyakarta in 2013. Now, she is a doctoral candidate at Indonesia Institute of the Arts Surakarta since 2018, exploring her huge interest in art activism, particularly art which involves community and craft work. Now, besides being active in teaching and pursuing further studies in the doctoral program, she is an energetic crafter within a group named the CraftDay group and also busy as of the hundreds knitting volunteers for yarn bombing with the RajutKejut knit community.
